Aston Martins (アストン・マーティンス Asuton Matinsu?) is a character that appears in the Game Boy Advance Game Fullmetal Alchemist: Stray Rondo.

Personality[]

Despite being a famed State Alchemist, Martin behaves like a wolf in a Kabuki play who would usually go after a girl without thinking. He has shown to be quite the lothario, loving attractive women and liking to flirt around with them often. He also displays a laid-back demeanor, often not taking matters seriously and indulging in his intense interest in swords like katanas as a katana enthusiast. He also displays interest in the notion of Bushido/Samurai Code, despite knowing little about the ideology.

However, in battle he displays a much more focused side and ruthlessly quick with his sword. He displays great inner turmoil from his time of service in Ishval and great reluctance to be in conflict with compatriots from that time. In dire situations, he is willing to sacrifice his life if others will be saved in the process.

Role In Fullmetal Alchemist: Stray Rondo[]

Martins was a State Alchemist serving under the State Military of Amestris, having served with distinction and fame as the prominent Thunder Alchemist (サンダー錬金術師, Sandā Renkinjutsu-shi) during the Ishval Civil War. During the war, he forged a close friendship with his fellow state alchemist and friend Seraphy Royce. Royce went missing and was presumed dead before the war ended, much to Martins' regret. Martins would eventually rise in rank to Lieutenant Colonel.

Martins would later appear again after Edward Elric was summoned by King Bradley to complete a mission of exterminating dangerous Chimera in East City. As such, Edward was given permission to form a 'Special Squad' to complete the mission, and, with special recommendation by Colonel Roy Mustang, chose Martins to join in the team to complete the mission.

The party uncovers that a rogue Seraphy Royce going by the moniker Lincor is behind the outbreak of Chimera, which leaves Martins reluctant to attack his fallen past friend. During a confrontation, Ed provokes Lincor to reveal the Philosopher Stone in his bag, but Lincor opens the bag and unleashes a giant ultimate Chimera instead which faces the party and regenerates froam all their attacks. With no other option at sight, Martin sacrifices his own life to defend his party by driving his blade into the Chimera and overloading it with electrical energy at the cost of his life, pleading for his party to stop his former friend before his death.

Abilities[]

As a State Alchemist, Martins has a keen understanding of Alchemy, particularly the usage of electricity in combination with his swordplay to attack his enemies. In battle, he is incredibly skilled with swords, using his alchemy to enhance the cutting power of his blows. He can also fire electricity from his blade and electrocute enemies by impaling them with his sword.
